By joining one of the a local or national vegetarian groups listed in our Favorite Vegetarian Lifestyle Links you can partake in a variety of fun & enriching activities including pot-luck dinners, health lectures, visiting local natural food restaurants, hikes, bike rides, cooking demonstrations, animal rights & activist rallies, dances, day & weekend workshops, regular meetings and benefit concerts.You can help build the vegetarian movement by enabling the growth of non-profit organizations which act as motivational centers for those interested in vegetarianism & other related topics. Most activities are given very inexpensively, or free of charge. It can be a great place to meet other health-minded folks (or even potential dating partners!)

Especially good places for learning, meeting new friends, & having fun, include the Vegetarian Summerfest held annually by the North American Vegetarian Society (their website also includes links to local groups), the Great American Meat Out (March 20th each year), and the internationally celebrated World Vegetarian Day (October 1st).
