and opened in 1906 as the Sunrise Inn. The Inn is located on
Old Mission Peninsula, just north of Traverse City, with 325
feet of beach on Bowers Harbor -- Grand Traverse Bay.
Vegetarian breakfasts are served, and a wood-burning sauna
is housed in the building behind the Inn. The Neahtawanata
Center, a nonprofit organization, is also housed at the Inn.
A one hour Yoga session is also available to guests staying
at the Neahtawanta Inn upon request for $10 class. No
smoking inside the Inn.
