Paradisical Natural Haven

Paradisical Natural Haven (PNH) is about 40 acres, located on a hill over 100 feet above the ocean and overlooking the sea with a view of Montezuma village. The PNH property is bordered by the Montezuma River and 3 waterfalls. Our neighbors are an American environmentalist couple, as well as native people.

This PNH can continue to be a secluded land that gives you, the owner, the best of all worlds - peaceful and quiet; mosquito-free, crystal-clear air; a spectacular view of the ocean. Suitable for rejuvenation and contemplation - yet within few minutes of the excitement of the Montezuma Tourist attractions and other sites of great natural beauty.

For those who are commercially minded, it is very suitable for development as a resort and/or a motel for tourists. The resort would have an advantage, since it could be the first one the traveler would be exposed to, before any vehicle enters the town. Other favorable points: it is very quiet (town is noisy), with only a slight hint of the sound of ocean waves. It has a non-stop air-conditioning breeze, great views of the ocean and town, as well as views of the adjacent areas highest waterfalls, with access to sweet water pools for swimming. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to town by means of the main road, or 5 minutes by means of a path to the ocean. Also, one can use the local bus to descend and ascend back to the property.

Cabins can easily be built - pre-fabs with full kitchen and bathroom for about $10,000 or even cheaper, by making use of local talent. Whatever you choose in construction, you will find help by way of architects, who speak fluent English and other languages, as well as experienced labor and contractors. Construction costs are much cheaper than in the USA

On our property, there are no swamp areas. The water is moving, and so there are no mosquitoes.

The three waterfalls described can be easily accessed by developing a stairway from my property. Very few tourists climb to the upper falls because of the challenge. However, I have often climbed all the regions and I find it challenging but not dangerous. Included on the home page are 2 photos of waterfalls/pools that are adjacent to my property.

  • On the lowest level, the Waterfall of Joy is about 60 feet high. The 1/4 acre pool is about 20 feet deep. Some highly talented youths dive from the full height. From the pool the stream cascades through many other less defined falls and pools, ending up at the ocean - about a 10 minute walk.
  • The Falls of Forgiveness are about 25 feet high, and descend into a large pool, which flows into the Waterfalls of Joy. This level is isolated, and can be gotten to by climbing from my property, via a vertical cliff.
  • The Milk & Honey Falls are twin falls on the top third level. They are about 15 feet high, on the north and south edge of the pond. A very serene place for contemplation.

There are about 50 fruit trees on the property, including many coconuts and some older mango trees. Also, as there has been much research on the use of sea water as fertilizer, I tried it and found it can contribute to successful organic farming - no need for any chemicals. Fruit and nut trees are disease-free and give much larger harvests with a much higher nutrient concentration.

About 10% of Paradisical Natural Haven's 40 acres is very sloped and rich in trees. There is a year-round stream which originates from a clean spring with a flow of over 100 gallons per minute. It provides water via PVC to about 5 families, who tap it from a well-hidden cliff area.

There is enough of a water drop (over 100 feet), so that a 12-volt electrical system can be developed. Also, RAM pumps (no electricity required) can be used to transport water to higher levels to set up a water tank system for the whole property.
